HOW TO GRADUATE WITH JOB OFFERS

Graduation is rapidly approaching and it’s time to start looking for a job. Don’t know where to start? Join Amanda for a crash course in job seeking. Learn tips and tricks for finding job opportunities, polishing your resume, and mastering the online application process. Attendees will emerge prepared to take on their job search and land the position to launch their careers.

RESUME 101 FOR THE DIGITAL WORLD

A 2018 eye-tracking study by Ladders found that the average recruiter looks at your resume for less than 10 seconds. In today’s digital society, your resume must not only speak to the employer; it often must first make it past an electronic gatekeeper known as an applicant tracking system (ATS). Attendees will learn how to craft a document that’s sure to make it past the gatekeepers — human and otherwise — and impress the hiring manager.

HOW TO HARNESS THE ‘POWER OF THREE’

The most successful job seekers never rely on one method to find job opportunities. Amanda will walk attendees through the three primary ways to uncover job leads: (1) Online job applications, (2) networking, and (3) recruiter engagement. Attendees will learn how to incorporate all three methods to maximize their number of relevant leads — published and unpublished.

THE JOB HUNTER’S SOCIAL MEDIA BOOT CAMP

According to a Jobvite Recruiter Nation study, most employers are using social media to not only recruit, but to also dig into your digital footprint before bringing you in for an interview. If you’re not properly incorporating social media into your job-search strategy, you could unknowingly hurt your chances of landing the right job. This workshop will teach attendees how to use social media to their advantage — and what to avoid.

WHAT’S NEXT IN YOUR CAREER?
